The Church of the Primacy of Saint Peter is a Franciscan church located in Tabgha, Israel occupied Palestine.

The primacy of Peter, is the position of preeminence that is attributed to Hz. Sam’un رضي الله عنه (Saint Peter) among the Twelve disciples given by Hz. Isa عليه اسلام

In simple terms, It is here that Hz. Sam’un رضي الله عنه was made the leader of the all disciples.

On the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee, this site commemorates and marks the spot where it happened.

The prominence that the christians writings attribute to Hz. Sam’un رضي الله عنه is due to their seeing him as a unifying factor amond other disciples.

The original church was destroyed in 1263 AD, but its foundation still stands, and the current church is built on it.

There is no admission fee to enter.

You park in a lot up on a bluff and walk down to the edge of the sea, where the church is located.

Tour guides aren’t allowed to speak audibly inside the church.
