Hz. Siri Saqati رحمة الله عليه was one of the early Muslim Sufi saints of Baghdad.

He was one of the most influential students of Hz. Maruf Karkhi رحمة الله عليه and one of the first to present Sufism in a systematic way.

He was also a friend of Bishr al-Hafi. He was the maternal uncle and spiritual master of Hz. Junayd Baghdadi رحمة الله عليه

Hz. Siri Saqati رحمة الله عليه was the first man to preach in Baghdad on the mystic truths and the Suh “unity”.

Most of the Sufi shaikhs of Iraq were his disciples. He was the uncle of Hz. Junayd Baghdadi رحمة الله عليه and the pupil of Hz. Ma’ruf-e Karkhi رحمة الله عليه; he had also seen Hz. Habib-e Ra’i رحمة الله عليه.
