Acoording to archaeologists, this site is said to be the house of the Hz. Ibrahim عليه اسلام
It is one of the most important religious sites in the south of Iraq because of its sacred connotations associated with the prophet.
This site is located in the center of the ancient city of Ur, discovered by the mission of the British Museum and the University of Pennsylvania headed by Sir Leonard Wally.
The house is located in a residential neighborhood of the city of Ur.
Leonard Woley and his Iraqi assistant Hormuz Rassam attributed this house to the house of the Hz. Ibrahim عليه اسلام benefiting from the (biblical reference) that indicated that Hz. Ibrahim عليه اسلام was born and raised in Ur of the Chaldeans.
The house It is almost a triangle and contains small rooms, halls, walkways, corridors and arches.
It is not currently roofed. The foundations of the walls are present.
The shape of the house is now completely changed after the reconstruction decision of the former regime at the end of the 1990s
The house of Hz. Ibrahim عليه اسلام is 300 meters away from Ziggurat of ur.
The excavations revealed that the people of Hz. Ibrahim عليه اسلام were worshiping the sun, moon and stars.
This has been evident in the archaeological inscriptions revealed by archaeological excavations in the city of Ur, appears in the picture an inscription of the Holy Pagan Trinity (sun, moon and stars)
This is where Hz. Ibrahim’s عليه اسلام family came from.
