Gethsemane, Garden where Hz. Isa’s عليه اسلام duplicate was arrested

Considered by Christians to be the place where Hz. Isa عليه اسلام was betrayed by Judas and his duplicate was arrested by romans to be crucified

Gethsemane is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem where the substitute (double) of Hz. Isa عليه اسلام underwent the agony in the garden and was arrested the night before his crucifixion.

According to the New Testament it was a place that Jesus and his disciples customarily visited, which allowed Judas Iscariot to find him on the night of his arrest.

Beside the garden is the Church of All Nations, built over the rock on which it is said that Hz. Isa عليه اسلام prayed before he was betrayed by Judas Iscariot and his substitute (double) got arrested.

GROTTO OF GETHSEMANE (GROTTO OF THE BETRAYAL)

The Grotto of Gethsemane, is a short walk from the Tomb of Bibi Maryam رضي الله عنها. You enter through the door and go down stair to the grotto.

It is here that Hz. Isa عليه اسلام use to to came when he was in Jerusalem.

It was here of Hz. Isa عليه اسلام was betrayed by Judas and his substitute (double) was arrested by romans to be crucified.

It is now used as a Chapel, behind the alter there is a picture of Hz. Isa عليه اسلام talking to the disciples and under the table are two figures showing the disciples sleeping.

This cave has a water cistern and it dates before Hz. Isa عليه اسلام.
