St. Peter’s Church in Jaffa is situated on the spot where Hz. Sam’un رضي الله عنه (Saint Peter) raised dead Tabitha (r.a) from the dead.
Dedicated to him, The church was constructed on its present location because of the significance Jaffa has to Christianity.
Since the large church is located on a hill near the shore, the building has historically dominated the view of Jaffa from the sea.

Jaffa is the city where Hz. Sam’un رضي الله عنه (Saint Peter) stayed. It is now part of Israel’s occupied Palestine largest city, Tel Aviv-Yafo.
In the Old City of Jaffa, there is the traditional house of Simon the Tanner. The house is privately owned and cannot be visited, but its entrance door and location attracts many Christian pilgrims and tourists.
Simon the Tanner had a house in Jaffa, where Hz. Sam’un رضي الله عنه (Saint Peter) stayed during his missionary activities.
The events at his house are interpreted as leading to the early followers of Hz. Isa عليه اسلام opening up their ranks also to the Gentiles, after starting as a Jewish movement.
