Jame’ Asr Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque is a mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

It is one of the two national mosques, the other being Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque.

The construction began in 1988 on a 20-acre site in Kiarong.

The mosque was inaugurated on 14 July 1994 with the Sultan attending the Maghrib and Isha prayers in conjunction with His Majesty’s 48th birthday celebration.

The mosque can accommodate 5,000 worshipers at a time, making it the largest mosque in the country.

The mosque has 29 golden domes and four minarets with height of 58 metres (190 feet).

The room is air conditioned and they provide long robes for non-muslim tourists even if we were within dress code.
