Some of the major Pillars in Masjid al-Nabawwi ﷺ and their History
Confirmed by scholars and local and traditional belief of Muslims is very strong. Maqam is associated with a Prophet, Sahaba, Awliya Allah, Any great personality, Famous battle sites.
Sites like for example where any great personality stayed for a particular amount of days, or where he or she left some markings like footprints or where he performed some miracles or where some famous battle was fought.
Example: Well of Hz. Yaqub عليه اسلام
Maqam Confirmed also applies to a site where the original building is destroyed and something different is build over it and no remains of original maqam is left

Area between the Sacred Chamber and the Pulpit (Mimbar) is known as the Riadhul Jannah i.e. Garden of Paradise. It is presently distinguished by a green carpet and is also referred to as Rawdah
Notable for housing a cave known as Ghar Thawr (Cave of Sawr), in which the Islamic Prophet Muhammad ﷺ took refuge from the Quraysh, during the migration to Medina Sharif

This site is said to have a well which was created by Imam Ali عليه اسلام , white stone on which Hz. Isa عليه اسلام was reputedly bord. Also some of the prophets is said to have visited this mosque
