Al-Fash Mosque is a small mosque under the cave at Mount Uhud. It is reported that the Hz. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ performed Zuhr prayer sitting at its location after the fighting on the day of Uhud, because of the injuries sustained during the battle and the Muslims prayed sitting behind him.
It was perhaps built by Hz. Umar bin Abdul Aziz رضي الله عنه during his governorship of Madinah sharif. The structure is Ottoman.
The construction is already destroyed and there are only few remnants of the east, west and south wall, and the mehrab mujawwaf which is still visible.
The building is now surrounded by an iron fence to guard its sustainability. It is 4.5 km from Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.
