The Masjid al-Ruqood al-Sebaa (Mosque of Seven Sleepers) in Chenini in Southern Tunisia is the where the sleepers are allegedly buried.
There are several uncommonly large tombs, about four meters long.
In the surroundings of the masjid there are some uncommonly large tombs about 4 meters long.
Called by Augustine of Hippo “Kenini” which would draw its origin from Kanaan, everything leads to believe that this is the origin of the word Chenini, the historic Berber village in Tunisia.
