The Prophet ﷺ is buried in the Sacred Chamber, along with two of his most faithful companions and the first two caliphs of Islam, Hz. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq رضي الله عنه and Hz. Umar ibn al-Khattab رضي الله عنه. Once the house (hujra) of Bibi Aisha رضي الله عنها – the house in which he was staying in at the time of his passing away, Today, it forms part of the Masjid Nabawi complex and is the most venerated tomb in the world
Confirmed by scholars and local and traditional belief of Muslims is very strong. Maqam is associated with a Prophet, Sahaba, Awliya Allah, Any great personality, Famous battle sites.
Sites like for example where any great personality stayed for a particular amount of days, or where he or she left some markings like footprints or where he performed some miracles or where some famous battle was fought.

Maqam Confirmed also applies to a site where the original building is destroyed and something different is build over it and no remains of original maqam is left

Located near Al-Ghamamah mosque, this site once used to be the site of house of Hz. Abu Bakr as-Siddique رضي الله عنه
Called Al-Buraq Mosque because of a ring that is nailed to its wall where Muslims believe Hz. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ tied the Buraq that carried him from the al-Haram Mosque to the al-Aqsa Mosque during the Night Journey
Ummah of our Dear Prophet ﷺ today is in despair and confusion. We are the biggest victims of the atrocities that are done throughout the world and yet we are called culprits.
