This mosque is located at the south-western flank of the Prophet’s Mosque, and north-west of the Masjid al-Ghamamah.

This mosque was built on the site that used to be the house of first Caliph of Muslims, Hz. Abu Bakr as-Siddique رضي الله عنه . It was later converted to Mosque.

It’s a small mosque which is usually closed for prayers (probably due to it’s proximity to Masjid al-Nabawi) but you can just pay a visit.

Masjid Al Ghamamah and Masjid Abu Bakr as-Siddique are located near to each other. Sometimes people confuse the two. To differentiate them, Masjid Al Ghamamah has many domes while Masjid Abu Bakr as-Siddique is much smaller and has only one dome.

The single minaret of the mosque retains its Ottoman structure and closely resembles to the Bab as-Salam Minaret of Masjid Nabawi.

The minaret has a muazzin’s balcony near the center. On the outside the dome of the small mosque is built with ribbed-style architecture.
