Manakhah is a village in west-central Yemen. It is located in the Sana’a Governorate, on the road between Sana’a and Al Hudaydah, 60 kilometers (37 mi) from Sana’a. Manakhah is the heart of haraz mountain range, a large town whose market attracts villagers from the entire neighbourhood. This 12th century old town stretches from the main market square to the foot of Jebel Shibam. It was once home to a Jewish community until their emigration to Israel in the 19th and 20th century.
