Transfiguration of Hz. Isa عليه اسلام
The transfiguration of Hz. Isa عليه اسلام is a story told in the New Testament when Hz. Isa عليه اسلام is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain.
In these accounts, Hz. Isa عليه اسلام and three of his disciples, Hz. Sam’un رضي الله عنه (Saint Peter), Saint James رضي الله عنه, and Saint John رضي الله عنه, go to a mountain (the Mount of Transfiguration) to pray.
On the mountain, Hz. Isa عليه اسلام begins to shine with bright rays of light.
Then Hz. Ilyas عليه اسلام (Elijah) and Hz. Musa عليه اسلام appear next to him and he speaks with them.
