The second holiest mosque in Islam, the second largest mosque in the world after the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca sharif. It is resting place of the Hz. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was built by the Prophet ﷺ himself, next to the house where he ﷺ settled after his migration to Medina in 622 CE
Also Knows as Mosque of the Tree, it marks the spot where the Prophet ﷺ summoned a nearby tree which approached him and stood in front of him, before returning to its place
